The Principals and Orchestra of Theatre Bel-Etage Present... The English stage musical reached its zenith in the period from 1910 to around 1930 combining the genres of musichall and operetta to wonderful effect before the Broadway musical style became the rage. Most of the composers of these fabulous shows have been long forgotten except by enthusiasts but now their light and joyful tunes are being rediscovered.br /Nowadays a new generation is beginning once again to appreciate the gentle joy of British light music and to rediscover composers such as Finck Albert Ketelbey Hubert Bath Lionel Monckton and others. The music is performed by the Bel Etage Theatre from Tallinn Estonia a company which specialises in Edwardian English operetta under its conductor and lead baritone Mart Sander and featuring female vocalists Pirjo Levandi and Kelli Uustani.
