Joanna Ampil, who comes from the Philippines, began her acting career at the age of seventeen when she was chosen to play the lead of Kim in the London production of Miss Saigon, thus making her West End debut. Later she was handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to play the lead role of Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar and she has appeared in many West End productions as well as shows and concerts throughout the UK. She is currently appearing as Fantine in the London production of Les Miserables, the world's longest running musical.br /br /Joanna's debut solo CD features selections from her many West End roles along with guest artists and songs from other shows.
