Lock Up Your Daughters holds the distinction of being the first production at the Mermaid Theatre in London. Opening in May 1959, it would run for 328 performances. It was subsequently revived at the same theatre in 1962 and ran for a further 664 performances. Surprisingly, the show never made it to Broadway, although planned, as it closed on the road.
