InWWWW 1981 Jill Fraser MBE and her husband James bought the Watermill Theatre near Newbury in Berkshire and this book is Jill's story of her all but twenty-five years as Artistic and Executive Director of the Watermill. After studying stage management and theatre production at the Central School of Speech and Drama Jill Fraser worked for the City of London Festival the Edinburgh Festival and the Liverpool Playhouse. She went on to join the stage amanagement team of the Royal Shakespeare Company and was Buzz Goodbod'y first Productiion Manager at the opening of the Other Place in Stratford in 1974. She then worked for Welsh Opera the Actors' Company and was the Administrator for the Cambridge Theatre Compnay for its then Artistic Director Jonathan Lynn. She was Artistic and Executive Director of the Watermill Theatre for all but tweny-five years. Jill passed away inWWWW 2006.
