Singin In The Rain Original Soundtrack

Widely regarded as one of the best Hollywood musicals of all time, a stellar cast including Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, ably supported by Donald OâConnor, combined with some memorable songs make this compelling viewing and listening more than fifty years after its original release. Producer Arthur Reed utilised many of the songs he had written with Nacio Herb Brown during the 1920s and 30s, setting the film in 1927 in order to make the songs sound as though they were of the right era. Of course, it is the theme song which proved the most endearing (ask yourself this question how often have you found yourself walking along in the rain and not begun singing the theme?), but other stand out tracks include 'You Were Meant For Me', 'Make âEm Laugh' and 'Good Morning'.
