2009 collection of new recordings of classic songs from the hit musical. Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical (to give it its full name) was written by James Rado, Gerome Ragni and Galt MacDermot and made its off-Broadway debut in 1967, just as the summer of love was drawing to a close. Its success prompted a switch to Broadway and it would go on to make 1750 performances. It proved equally successful in London, where 1997 performances were staged.
