The Dancing Years Ivor Novellos

Finally, a Complete recording of Ivor Novellos Masterwork, THE DANCING YEARS in its Original Orchestrations is available for the first time ever. A grave omission in the annals of Operettas/Musical recordings is now corrected by this Sparkling new Complete recording of Novellos beloved Masterwork. There is an abundance of previously unrecorded Music from the Original Score to be savoured and enjoyed for the first time since the Original production of this wonderful Operatta at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in 1942.
Recorded over the years, at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and Angel Studios, London, we are thrilled to have captured Valerie Mastersons perfect interpretation and singing of the role of Maria Ziegler. The all star cast featuring actors and singers from both the Musical and Opera world include David Fieldsend, Louise Winter, Katrina Murphy, Janie Dee, Tinuke Olafimihan and others.
The Original Orchestrations are sumptuously played by the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Owen Edwards and Craig Barna.
